New Release

I have just released my favorite kit ever.

I always try to inspire something with a kit, to make them meaningful somehow. Most of them I make with a certain person or place, or even memory, in mind. Something kept bugging me though. I was scrap designing MY memories in my designs, but sometimes that doesn't do a lot to help you scrapbook about YOUR memories. Or your story.

When I think of my scrapbooking, and how it relates to me, I am always reminded of what got me started scrapbooking in general. I am going to tell that story a little in a nutshell for those who haven't heard it.

In 2004 my daughter was born, in the month of May. She was a miracle baby as both me and daddy were not supposedly able to reproduce. I will never get another one, so this baby is the most important baby that there ever will be for me, the only one and all. And then I got sick. I was told that I had a disease that they could not identify, and after a battery of tests, it was only determined that I had little lesions and holes in my brain and they didn't know what was causing them, but they were worsening.

A year later, I was sent for a brain surgery to have a tissue biopsy done. They finally determined what is wrong with me, and could begin treatments. I have an auto immune disease that is not curable. It is called Neurosarcoidosis. They treat it to control it as best they can with steroids. It comes and goes, but I am sick more than I am healthy for a lot of time.

Now, imagine, you have a 1 year old girl. Your only child, and you find out you have some incurable disease in your brain no less. And your short term and long term memory are at risk. And your motor skills. And your life, really. Of course one of the millions of crazy thoughts that go through your head is, "My daughter may never get the chance to know me for who I am, or who I was... and I may not end up being around to tell her myself."

That, folks, is my inspiration for scrapbooking.

Now, how does that relate to my newest kit? This kit is to help you (and me) to create those ALL ABOUT ME albums. To tell your story of you, even if you aren't there to tell it someday. Or maybe to give to a loved one to tell their story. This kit is cute, sure, but I created it to allow you to open your guts out on paper and share a little of the stuff that you are made of.

Wow, what a long story eh.

I want to show you a few things...

A preview of It's All Me:

And the start of a series of freebies to help you along the way too! This one has 4 word art files and that cute little bird to coordinate with the It's All Me Kit. It's in my store too so you can get each piece if you like all in one stop. I will be adding more word art and helpers along the way as I really do mean to make this kit inspire you and help you. It's a humongous kit, over 300 MB and 115 pieces. Then you get the quickpage album too, and a lot of freebies to come. If you don't want the whole kit, you can purchase the QP album separately here.

Get the freebie here

Now an important note...

I want to encourage you to seriously tell your story. If it's not with my kit, I don't mind, my kit is not for everyone. But, I think about it this way... is there someone who was in your life that has passed on, that you wish you could have known better? Don't you wish they had done a About Me album too?

Thank you for the beautiful freebie and for sharing your story. I'll try to make a page at least about myself sometime!

Thank you for sharing your story. It is important to share stories as each day is a gift to each of us, there are no guarantees of tomorrows - so we shold leave the stories of our days for others to learn from and enjoy! Thank you for your inspiration.
