Happy Dance...

So I have never applied to be on a Creative Team. Frankly, I know I can design elements and papers and all that, but I don't often get a lot of feedback on my layouts, but then again I don't ask for it often. In fact, I have a link to my layout gallery on my blog but I don't often talk about it and I have only had like 3 comments ever on it... so I just ho hum along and most of my focus ends up being on my element design rather than the layouts I do... which is funny because I started out designing the elements so I could use them in my layouts and now I have slipped into the mode of designing 90% of the time and only making layouts when I find a spare moment between designs.

WHOOPS!

So one day I was looking at a newer site that I like... and I thought, well heck, this site needs someone like me. They might not know it, but I think I could spice up the joint AND I reeeeally like their products in their shop. Then, believe it or not, LO AND BEHOLD, I went to their new forums... and they had a posting up for Creative Team applicants. So I humbly cleaned up my layout gallery blog and sent the email-on the last day to enter, late at night, and went on about my days.

At first, I was watching my email every day hoping a little but not letting myself get too excited. Then I saw a post on the forum that said they had chosen their team and I saw that unfortunately I wasn't on it. Trying not to look upset, I set out to my next project and never mentioned it to anyone, not even my husband, so I could try to avoid feeling bummed.

And then, whaddya know... I came home the other day to an email saying that I WAS selected. Man, you shoulda seen how fast I ran to my husband and said, "Honey, Honey! I applied for a creative team and I got in!!! I get to use their products and oh I love so many of them!!!" and he was like, "Um, what's a creative team? And what's for dinner?"

So... I didn't tell you which site. I will tell you later... neener neener neener.
