So I just got my husband and dazughter to go to their respective jobs... him at the welding shop and her at daycare. I took today off to really enjoy my birthday all by myself, to get some time to reflect, to design, and maybe to take an uninterrupted nap. I never work on my birthday, to me that takes half the fun out of it :)
Do I feel older? Not really. I can, however, see that over this past year I have matured some. Dealing with my disease in my brain has really taught me that I certainly ain't gettin' any younger... and it has shown me how to listen to my body and slow down when it needs rest. I have learned to appreciate a lot of things I might have never noticed in the high speed lane of life. Like when Maia climbs in bed with me in the morning and she doesn't crawl over to Daddy's side. She always wants to lay on me and look into my eyes and just have a lovey dovey stare. That girl can CUDDLE.
Anyhow, my big plans for this blog today... I am finishing up some elements, so they should be posted shortly. I will likely have a few freebies to share today so keep checking back! I love my free days.

I can relate to brain issues. i have a congential birth defect i only found out about 3 years ago in my brainstem. Its called an arnold chiari malformatinon among other things..
Im glad you are enjoying the alone time or enjoyed it as well as enjoying your b.d 30 is way young still im 43 almost 44..ick my brain is getting worse year by year..so is my spelling :)
