I sat down tonight and was looking at clothes online. You see, when I am running low on ideas, I go shopping for them. I don't spend any money, mind you, but I look at fabrics, colors, online magazines, whatever catches my eye... and I get my inspiration.
Here is the end result of a little shopping in the plus size shirt section at walmart.com...
An upcoming paper pack... it was inspired by a wild floral print on a shirt I would never wear, but it looked like fun to try to recreate on paper... I don't wear florals, I am not a girly girl.
This is just a sneak peek. I have ideas for a few more papers to go with it, and will even be putting out the PNG files so you can make your own matching brushes for the flowers... I want to try some new things :) I hope you like the colors above, but if you would like it in other colors please put a comment below.
And now for a weight loss update. I am down to... 254. Remember, a couple months ago I was up near 280. I started the low carb diet at 269 so I am making progress! Even with this weekend's binge. It is getting easier now, it is feeling more like a way of life rather than a diet. I sat through a company party today with pizza from my favorite pizza place and breadsticks... and I ate my lunch I had brought from home. YAY ME!
Thank you all for taking the time to comment on my blog. Your comments are how I wind down from a long day at the office. They are what make me feel good about the time I spend on this old computer plugging away.
Here's one of my old layouts that I just ran across that I love. Just to share... hope to inspire...

That's wonderful! It's so hard to lose weight, especially when everyone around you eats whatever they like. It certainly helps to view it as a lifestyle change. Congratulations!
BTW, Love the preview of your new papers!
Love the new paper! Congratulations on the weight loss. I know how hard it is. I was diagnosed with firbomyalgia (& several other things) about 3 years ago and put on heavy duty narcotic pain killers for nearly a year for that and other chronic pain conditionas. Didn't help the pain and had significant side effects, the worst of which was weight gain - over 60 lbs! It's been nearly impossible to lose although I'm still trying. Wish you all the best with this. Also want to thank you for sharing your art and providing inspiration to all us digital newbies. Hugs
Ive not been able to visit your blot lately to comment for some reason its been locking up my brower. It was not just yours it kept happening on yours and a few others. It was probably a spyware issue. I ran ad aware and it found bunches and I removed it and all is well again. My lil 8 yr old plays games and some are old and probably have bad things built in to thier programs that dont show up in the intstall process. I hate when i miss days of blogs lol im a blog junkie and i will admit it
I like the new papers..
I love the preview paper! If its inspired by a shirt, I'm not sure its too back... are you sure you can't dress it up a bit??? Anyway... can't wait to see the entire pack! Congrats on the weight loss as well
Congrats on the weight loss. I need to go there too.
I love the new inspiration. I think that print would make a wonderful paper!

It took me a few days to link it, but here it is. A layout that I did at GDS for their template challenge. I love this kit. Now that I am done, I kind of wish I would have converted the pics to b&w seeing they are much more brown for this kit. But I don't know.

Here is a link to browse for inspiration for Hollister. All the rage of then teens these days.
Congrats on the weight loss. Keep up the good work. I need to lose a few pounds and can't even get them to budge so I know its hard work.
And thanks again.
Love that paper. I would love to see it in some grungy greens too. Of course green is one of my favourite colours.
Keep up the good work with the diet. Mine is slowing down at the moment. Not putting on but not taking much off either. Sort of reached a plateau.
Love this new paper. I like the colors soft but I can see it with the addition of a sage.
I like the paper you are on the right track. And, congratulations on the great weight loss. I know it is so easy to put on but so very hard to take off.
Wow! Way (or should i say...weigh) to go! Awesome job on the weightloss and avoiding the pizza and breadsticks...i know just how hard that is!
Congratulations on your weight loss! Keep up the great work. That's a beautiful quote. Here's one of my favorites:
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it or because it has been handed down for many generations, or because it is found written in your religious books, or merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But, after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason, and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, accept it and live up to it... Doubt everything. Find your own light.
