Some of my favorite scrap elements are stitched. I used to cross-stitch when I was a kid, and I always enjoy stitching because it really reminds me of that. Also, it's just another way to remember you can truly scrap with ANYTHING. In the paper scrapbooking world, I would like to learn how to embroider on my pages without being disappointed... but in the digital scrapping world, I don't have to worry about that, because it's all easier to manipulate. I love digital scrapbooking :)
If I were to be emroidering my pages in real life, nothing would come out perfect because frankly, I am sloppy with my stitches. That's why I was so thrilled with the way these turned out. I found a tutorial and some brushes at http://www.escrappers.com/photoshopatoz.html that helped me along the way, and here is what I was able to create. (Oh yeah, if you haven't checked that site, it has some great photoshop tutorials and techniques for scrapbooking).
The picture above REALLY doesn't do these stitches justice, but it gives you the idea of what is all included in the pack you can download for free HERE at 4Shared.
An Update from my luckybug site: They are having some bandwidth issues and my freebie area on their site is down for a few weeks. If you need a freebie that was once there, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will more than gladly upload it to 4Shared for you until the luckybug site comes back up. I will miss this service dearly but it WILL BE BACK.
