Reasons I Can't Wait Until Christmas

So I know Christmas isn't about gifts and all that, but heck... I went online last week and was just ho-humming along on ebay when I found a graphics tablet that I could afford. It's not a Wacom, but it will do for what I want it for, which is of course to design more scrapping stuff! It arrived in the mail the other day. I am forcing myself to wait until Christmas to open it and use it though, which is my way of guaranteeing that I will have something I want a lot under the tree this year...

Also, just so you all know, I have been doing all this designing on a computer that is ancient and needs some upgrades. Every time I design something, I am stuck waiting for PS to load and to do any little changes to the graphics because I don't have much RAM. My husband, being the geek that he is, has this really nice upgraded computer system because when he gets any extra money, it's usually spent on his system. Me, I just can never justify the cost. Well, my husband is going to upgrade my RAM and maybe get me a second hard drive for Christmas. He is suddenly being very supportive of my scrapbooking time, maybe because this week of not doing much designing has made me a major nutcase :) Speaking of which, I have a new kit I am still working on the preview for, ready to go. Watch for it!

Yeah I know, there should be some element of surprise to Christmas presents, but sometimes it's nice to know what I am getting... and my husband just can't keep a secret. It's hard with a shared budget for him to hide his spending. But he did go out shopping this morning and I have no idea what he got. It's killing me.

Now that I am done talking about all the reasons I am happy for Christmas and my gifts, I also want to say... my daughter is going to be the most SPOILED little girl on Christmas morning. Being an only child and living with grandma sure has its advantages hehe.

Woo hoo for the graphics tablet and the RAM upgrade! I am so happy to hear this. I could not live w/o my tablet - don't even remember how a mouse works. It is SO GOOD to see you posting again. :)

Man, it's sad that I have to be that blunt.
