Diagnosis: Sarcoid

After a year and a half of being sick, a half a dozen doctors, a lung biopsy, and my recent brain surgery biopsy, I finally got a result. For those of you who have never been sick with something life-lasting and in the dark about what it is, let me say this... a diagnosis is good news at some point, no matter what you are sick with. No matter how good or bad the news, you finally get some closure and you can move on to the treatment phase. There is a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel.

I have Sarcoidosis. It is a disease that just won't go away, but only like 5% of the people who have it die from it. There is hope in that. A lot of people who have it still live a normal life. I don't live a normal life, right now anyway, but hopefully the doctors can help me get closer to that now. I have like 20 thousand bucks in doctor bills, scary how they add up. But I am still able to work, so hopefully I can get some of that under control.

I am so relieved to move into the next phase of my sickness... getting treatment that might make me feel well.

Sorry, no scrapbooking news today, been a little distracted :)

You have my heartiest prayer. I understand exactly what you are going through. I am your medical twin. I also went through the same thing, but I have not worked this year. I lost all mobility & fuctions to move or care for myself after the deterioration. In July, I was admitted to the hosp. I have an unknown kind of neuropathy--mamopathy? I am not diabetic. I receive 1 wk of cancer globilin infusions, I do not have a known cancer, & 2 wks intense theraphy. They said I would need a wheelchair, but instead I had family prayer & now use a walker. I am typing now with middle finger, left hand. Unable to do any scrapping, etc, but hope to. I will not hold you any longer, but rest in knowing that you have people you have never personally met, praying for you regardless of religious affiliation. I have you in my favorites. Will visit again soon.I am grambie @ rakscrap.

My prayers are with you. I think you are amazing to continue with your designing and being sick. This is my first time to visit your site and your work is really beautiful. I have spent a couple of hours looking around. I am just now getting into digital scapbooking and hope to someday be able to make my own designs. Until I learn, I use the beautiful freebies that wonderful people like you share. Someday I hope to repay the digital scrapbooking world with freebies of my own. :) God bless you and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Heart_o_texas@yahoo.com
